Our friends at the Museum of Happiness have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help them to create a happier, kinder and more playful world.
They aim to raise £25,000 in order to open the world’s first dedicated Museum of Happiness in Camden, London. They’re offering amazing rewards; through supporting them you can help a fantastic project and receive a brilliant new gift or experience, too!
They have already passed the £15,000 mark, but they need your help to reach their goal! So check out their video and read on below to learn more, and visit the the Museum of Happiness Crowdfunding page to offer your support.
**Also, Museum of Happiness co-founder Shamash Alidina will run a workshop at our Building Wellbeing Together Weekend in September 2017 at Hawkwood College in Stroud, UK - and you can book your early bird ticket now!**
Exploring happiness can be so much fun!
The Museum of Happiness team create warm community spaces to help people explore happiness. They offer tangible, science-based happiness tools for people to implement into their everyday lives.
This includes classes like art therapy, yoga, self-compassion meditation, mindfulness, laughter yoga, singing, dancing, play workshops and learning new fun skills, like how to play the Ukulele or how to do origami mindfully.
All of their activities are fun, inclusive and pressure-free! At the Museum of Happiness, everyone is welcome just as they are.
New Museum of Happiness in Camden
Through their new space, and with the support gained through their crowdfunder, the Museum of Happiness hopes to:
- run a full program of events.
- develop interactive displays and offer guided tours.
- expand their outreach programme and offer services to people experiencing isolation.
At the new space, they hope to have park benches, beautiful murals, clouds hanging from the ceiling, lots of plants and interactive activities on happiness on the walls!
Plus there will be lots of little activities you can do in just a few minutes that encourage you to enjoy and spread happiness and kindness in different ways.
The new Museum is within a housing association, and will offer a warm, caring local community for everyone who wants to join, including those who have experienced homelessness. And they are fully open to the general public, too.
Sharing happiness and community – in London and beyond!
The initiatives run by Museum of Happiness bring people together regardless of background or belief system, to create friendships, have fun and find balance in the hectic city of London.
If you’re not in London, don't worry! Museum of Happiness will create ripples of positivity worldwide by sharing the stories we collect and offering ways to start your very own mini Museum of Happiness in a box; this is one of the rewards of the crowdfunding campaign.
In addition to a Museum of Happiness in a box, there are also Museum of Happiness T-shirts, tote bags, post cards, training sessions and more on offer!
Plus, please share this post via social media using the hash tag #ShareHappiness to help spread the word!
And don't forget, Museum of Happiness co-founder and mindfulness teacher Shamash Alidina will be giving a workshop at our Building Wellbeing Together Weekend at Hawkwood College in Stroud, UK in September. You can book your early bird ticket for this event now!
